Indioko is.a 2005 Leopard 47 catamaran. We rescued her from a hard charter life and worked hard to install and upgrade her systems to turn her into a true cruising boat. She has 4 cabins/heads, a U-shaped galley and U-shaped saloon with a large cockpit which can easily seat 8+.
Her low profile and narrow hulls mean we can sail at quite a pace – our current speed record is 15.8 knots. We fell in love with the design before we ever stepped foot on one, and in fact we knew this was the boat for us before we even left Scotland. We bought her from the British Virgin Islands in 2020 and instantly felt right at home in her two hulls.
We have upgraded her solar, water, electrical and navigation systems as well as doing significant fibreglass and canvas work to bring her into tip top condition.

How our Leopard 47 is configured for power and steerage
Probably the biggest factors in our searching for a catamaran, the desire for shaft drive propellers and skeg hung rudders were paramount to our technical requirements.
What Rig does Indioko have
Catamaran sail plans can be fantastically complex. everything from standard sloop rigs, cutters, rotating masts and even ketch rigs have been tested and each with their own merits and shortcomings. But what about Indioko?
There was a time when sailing was all about staring off into the distance, looking like you are deep in thought before extending a brass sight glass and barking an order to adjust the square sails. While we would love to wear one of those hats and cool coats, sailing on Indioko is slightly different.
