This one is huge!

Indioko is currently covered in a white coating called Gelcoat. This is a common coating that boat manufacturers use as it makes the building process easier.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t make it the best solution to protect boats from the harsh UV rays and corrosive sea salt.

Today, Indioko’s gelcoat is so degraded that comes away on your hand like chaulk when you touch it. we have done what we can to maintain it through the years with wax and buffing but this is no longer working as we have so little gelcoat remaining and so we began our research and discovered a specialist boat paint manufacturer Alexseal. they produce paints for everything from container ships to super yachts and have the exact solution we need.

So we want to give Indioko a facelift like no other. a paint job that will not only protect our home for years to come but to ensure there is no question when we arrive in a busy anchorage as ‘The Reds have arrived!”

It’s an expensive process but we will do everything we can to keep this as low as possible. if you want to donate towards this project, we woudl be so grateful.
